The Switch’s delayed online service gets its most specific launch window to date

Nintendo will launch the online service for Switch in September, according to a post on the official Nintendo of America Twitter account.

Nintendo Switch Online will go live in the “second half of September”, giving Switch users access to online play, cloud saves and a library of NES games. The tweet came from the Nintendo of America account, but the date appears to apply worldwide.

There will be a variety of pricing plans, with individual memberships for $3.99 for one month, $7.99 for three months, and $19.99 for 12 months. There is also a Family Membership plan, which covers up to eight people for $34.99 a year.

Nintendo Switch Online was initially scheduled to launch before the end of 2017, but Nintendo delayed it in June of that year.
