Corus Entertainment’s subsidiary Nelvana announced on Tuesday that it has signed a multi-year home entertainment distribution deal with Cinedigm for several of its children’s titles, including Bakugan Battle Brawlers. As part of the deal, Cinedigm will release titles on DVD and electronic sell-through (EST).
The companies have not announced a release window for Bakugan Battle Brawlers, nor have they confirmed if the series will be available on DVD, EST, or both. The first release will be Ranger Rob, though the companies have also not announced a release window for this title. Cinedigm will release Babar and Father Christmas, Babar: King of the Elephants, Babar: The Movie, Franklin and the Turtle Lake Treasure, and Pippi Longstocking digitally this November.
Warner Bros. previously released part of Bakugan Battle Brawlers on DVD. The entirety of Bakugan Battle Brawlers and its sequels Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia, Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Gundalian Invaders, and Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge are already available for digital sale on Amazon from Cartoon Network.
In January, Nelvana announced a collaboration with Canadian toy and media company Spin Master and anime studio TMS Entertainment for the planned new Bakugan television series.
